Concordia Slides by Midland

Wednesday evening, the No. 23 Concordia Bulldogs defeated Midland University 2-0 and improved to 8-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in GPAC.
Concordia overcame a slew of first half shots by the Warriors. Midland put up nine shots while Concordia put up zero.
Junior Chrissy Lind made five saves to keep the score 0-0 at the half.
Early in the second half, junior Jordan McCoy found the back of the net to break the tie and give Concordia a 1-0 lead.
Later in the 65th minute, McCoy found herself in the scoring column again. On a feed by sophomore Jessica Skerston, McCoy got behind the Warrior defenders and pocketed her second goal of the game.
Lind kept the Warriors off the scoreboard by making her sixth and final save of the game in the second half.
The Bulldogs will take a road trip to Sioux City, Iowa, to play Morningside College (7-3-1, 3-1-0) at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10.
