Another ranked opponent became the victim of the Concordia University women’s basketball team, as they jumped out to a hot 4-0 start to the season by defeating No. 13 MidAmerica Nazarene University 84-57 on Nov. 8.

The Bulldogs benefited from their full-court press that led to 14 steals and extra possessions.

Senior Kristin Vieselmeyer and junior Juliana Jones led the scoring with 16 each. Senior Gabrielle Wagner led the assists with six, and junior Raelyn Kelty grabbed eight rebounds.

The game was a close 24-18 after the first quarter, but the Bulldogs went into halftime up 52-30 and never looked back.

The win concluded the women’s side of the Cattle Classic tournament. Concordia went 2-0 and had Vieselmeyer and junior Sammy Leu named to the all-tournament team.

The Bulldogs have their GPAC opener against Waldorf University on Nov. 15 at 3 pm at Friedrich Arena.
