Home Sports Concordia Women’s Golf Wins College of Saint Mary Invitational

The Concordia women’s golf team took to the course on Friday, April 8 and won its first tournament title under the tenure of coach Brett Muller.

Junior Amy Ahlers led the team to the win by winning the individual title for the day and shooting a 79. Sophomore Ashlen Pospisil was second for the Bulldogs and tallied an 89 which earned her 11th place. Sophomore Brenna Gnuse (91), junior Kayla Krueger (91) and freshman Madison Pitsch (137) rounded out the top five for Concordia.

“This [win] gives us a lot of confidence going into GPAC Qualifier number three at our home course on Wednesday,” said Muller, “Our goal is to finish in the top two in the conference and advance to the national tournament. We need another solid performance on Wednesday.”

The Bulldogs continue their season April 13 in Lincoln at Highlands Golf Course for the third of four GPAC qualifiers.
