The Concordia women’s tennis team took on GPAC foe Doane College Wednesday afternoon and lost by a 4-5 decision to fall to 3-12 overall and 1-2 in GPAC.

The Bulldogs won one of the three doubles matches. The lone win came from the pair of sophomore Annie Horn and freshman Hailey Lemos, who won 8-5.

In singles play Concordia was able to only win three of the six matches to come up just shy of a team win. Horn won her match in straight sets 6-3 and 6-2. Freshmen Katelinn Wurm and Kayla Smock also won their matches in exciting fashion. Wurm won 6-4, 2-6 and 10-5 while Smock won 7-6 (7-2), 1-6 and 10-7.

Concordia will return to the courts on Tuesday, April 12 when the team hosts Nebraska Wesleyan. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
