Home Sports No. 16 York College Takes Down Bulldog Baseball

by Matthew Goedeken

Concordia’s baseball team lost a single nine-inning game 13-1 against the 16th-ranked York College Tigers Tuesday, April 5.

Freshman Jared Schipper, who started on the mound for the Bulldogs, was hit by a pitch in the first inning. He stayed in the game for the rest of the first inning and threw a few pitches in the second before coming off the field. Junior Casey Hall came in as relief later in the game, picked up two strikeouts and did not allow an earned run.

The Bulldogs couldn’t get the offense going and ended the game with only four hits.

The Bulldogs, now 16-17 overall, will return to action Saturday, April 9 for a doubleheader against Dordt in Sioux Center, Iowa.
