Home Sports Men’s Basketball Wins Against Midland Warriors

Despite trailing 34-36 at halftime, Concordia’s men’s basketball team came back in the second half to win Wednesday’s game against the Midland Warriors 66-51.

The Bulldogs started off the game with a 6-2 early lead in the first half before Midland tied the game 10-10 midway through the first half.

The teams remained neck and neck the whole game, but Concordia’s efforts paid off in the second half as they established their lead before the end of the fourth quarter.

Major players in the game who reached double digits in scoring include junior guard Brevin Sloup (#3) with 14 points; freshman guard Justin Wiersema (#10), also with 14 points; and sophomore guard Grant Wragge with 11 points.

The team will continue their season on Jan. 19 with their next away game at the University of Jamestown (North Dakota).
