In the NAIA Match of the Week, the No. 18 Concordia women’s soccer team defeated Dordt College 1-0 at home on Saturday, Oct. 3.

With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 7-2-1 overall and 1-1-1 in GPAC.

Concordia had a rough first half as Dordt aggressively put up six shots, five of which were on goal.

Bulldog goalkeeper, Chrissy Lind, kept the Defenders off the board by making all five saves in the half.

Concordia only put one shot up in the first half and it was not on goal.

In the second half, Dordt got nine shots off and put five on goal, but the Defenders were unsuccessful in sliding one by Lind.

The Bulldogs put up seven shots (three on goal) and scored once in the second half.

Sophomore Jeannelle Condame made the lone goal of the game in the 49th minute to give Concordia the win.

Concordia will host Midland University at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
