Home Sports No. 20 Concordia Volleyball Cruises by Nebraska Wesleyan

The No. 20 Concordia volleyball team breezed past Nebraska Wesleyan in its regular season finale on Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs won 25-13, 25-19 and 25-20 to improve to 24-7 overall and 12-4 in GPAC.

Concordia used its powerful offense to take care of the Prairie Wolves as the Bulldogs hit .265, .306 and .594 in each of the three sets. The Bulldogs hit .388 for the match compared to the Prairie Wolves .146 for the match.

Sophomore Annie Friesen paced the Bulldogs with 15 kills on the night. Senior Claire White added 13 kills while juniors Tiegen Skains and Paige Getz chipped in nine kills apiece.

Junior Alayna Kavanaugh had a stat sheet stuffer night as she finished with 49 assists, three kills and seven digs.

The Bulldogs earned the fourth seed in the GPAC tournament with the win. The Bulldogs will host its quarterfinal matchup against fifth seed Northwestern at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7.
