Home Sports Concordia Hosts Seward Basketball Showcase For Nebraska Schools

Concordia University helped Seward area schools to host 140 elementary and middle school basketball teams representing 29 separate divisions for the fifth annual Seward Showcase Tournament held in Walz Human Performance Complex on Feb. 4 and 5.

Each team played three games throughout the weekend, developing their skills and playing against friendly competition within the state of Nebraska. The winners of each red and white division according to grade and gender then played each other for the championship rounds. The results of the winning team are listed below.

 

Boys

3rd grade red – TR Fighting Elk

3rd grade white – Seward Jays

4th grade red – Legends

4th grade white – Boone Central

5th grade red – Gretna Warriors

5th grade white – Junior Huskers

6th grade red – York Dukes

6th grade white – Warriors

7th grade red – Wahoops

7th grade white – Big Foot Attackers

8th grade red – East Supreme

8th grade white – North Bend Central

 

Girls

3rd grade – GI No Limit

4th grade red – North Bend

4th grade white – Titan Attack

5th grade red – Ashland Lady Jays

5th grade white – Beatrice Black

6th grade red – Lady Vike Hoops

6th grade white – Kearney Ambush

7th grade red – SWISH Maroon

7th grade white – Fairbury Hoops

8th grade gold – STC Hawkettes 7

8th grade silver – Christ Lutheran Tigers Norfolk

 

The Seward Showcase Youth Basketball Tournament return to Seward in February 2018.
