Home Sports Concordia Men’s Golf Sits in Fourth after Day One of Briar Cliff...

The Concordia men’s golf team stands in fourth place heading into day two of the Briar Cliff University Mini-Tour Stop.  During day one on April 18, the Bulldogs shot a combined 325 at the Dakota Dunes Country Club.

The Bulldogs look to chase frontrunner Northwestern College, who leads with 296. Tied for next best are Midland University and Doane College at 310 apiece. Competition for day two begins on Tuesday, April 19 at 10:30 a.m.

Concordia was led by freshman Nolan Zikas who earned an 11th place overall with a 78. Sophomores Russell Otten and Tyler Ehresman tied for second best on the team both shooting 82. Juniors Jared Knoepfel and Reid Wiebe finished out the top five for the Bulldogs with an 83 and 89 respectively.

Seniors Sam Simonson, Brock Colclasure and Garrett Suchanek also competed for Concordia. Simonson tallied an 85, and Colclasure and Suchanek each scored an 87.
