Home Sports Women’s Tennis Falls in Close Match Against College of St. Benedict

Concordia women’s tennis competed against the College of Saint Benedict on Saturday morning and came up short 5-4.

The Bulldogs are still searching for their first victory of the season, as they have an 0-4 start to the season.  

In singles play, three Bulldogs won in straight sets. Junior Annie Horn won 6-0 and 6-0, junior Katie Hertz won 6-3 and 6-1, and sophomore Kayla Smock picked up a victory with scores of 6-4 and 6-2.

In doubles play, Horn and freshman Kristen Wagner teamed up for the lone victory, winning 9-8.

The Bulldogs now take a week off to prepare for Tabor College on Saturday, Feb. 25 in Lincoln. The first serve is set to start at noon.
