CUNE’s Men’s bible study group, Fight Club, officially kicked off their meetings for this year by welcoming returning and new members.

Fight Club is a fellowship group for men on campus to gather in small groups, led by various leaders in order to study God’s word together. Members of Fight Club evaluate when they will be available for fellowship meetings and request a leader based on their availability.

Fight Club co-chair and senior Dane Wolfgram described how the club was structured and what the year would look like due to COVID-19 concerns.

“It is a lot easier for a group of five or six guys to find when and where to meet in comparison to organizing something for the whole organization,” Wolfgram said. “This, of course, makes things not too difficult in regards to COVID.”

He continued to explain that the club’s main focus for this year was to help members grow closer together in brotherly fellowship as well as grow closer to God.

“The beauty of these small groups is that once someone is placed in one, that is their group for the year,” Wolfgram said. “They can have a network of close brothers to support and encourage them, as well as growing closer to God, of course.”

Despite already having their kickstart event, male students who are interested in joining Fight Club can contact the co-chairs, Dane Wolfgram, Cody Bender and Trevor Fiala, for more information.
