by Jordan McCoy

The Bulldogs were able to come out on top Saturday, Nov. 13 against No. 17 York in 91-77 battle.

Head coach Ben Limback and his squad were looking for a pick-me-up after the close loss against Northwestern in their first conference game. According to Limback, the win against York did the trick.

Seniors Chandler Folkerts, Seth Curran and Eli Ziegler are stepping up and being leaders for the Bulldogs. Folkerts scored 25 points, Curran scored 14 and Ziegler scored 24 in the game against York. Folkerts added eight rebounds for the Bulldogs, as well.

They also had help from junior transfer guard Chris Johnstone who tallied seven points. Freshmen guards Tanner Shuck and Jake Hornick came off the bench and scored five points each to help contribute to the win.

Once they got started, the Bulldogs did not stop scoring. Throughout the game, Concordia kept the lead the entire time and pressured the York defense throughout the final minutes of the game.

On Wednesday, Concordia will travel to Fremont to face another ranked team. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. against No. 21 Midland.
