The first game began with two Concordia runs in the first inning. York pulled a run back in the third to make it 2-1. After the teams traded runs in the fifth inning, freshman Ronee Watson drove home a run to give the Bulldogs a 4-2 lead. Pitcher junior Michaela Woodward then shut down the Panthers in the sixth and seventh innings to seal the Concordia victory.
Woodward pitched a complete game, giving up four hits and striking out eight Panthers. She also chipped in two hits, including an RBI triple.

Both teams scored two runs in the first inning to get the nightcap off to a hot start. Concordia scored two in the second and one more in the third to take a 5-2 lead. York fought back to score five in the bottom of the third and led 7-5. The Bulldogs took the lead in the fifth inning, scoring three runs thanks to RBI singles from Woodward and freshman Audrey Quant.

The Panthers took back the lead with a blistering seven-run fifth inning. The final score was 12-9 in favor of York.

Up next for the Bulldogs is a GPAC doubleheader against Morningside College that was rescheduled from this past Sunday. First pitch from Plum Creek Park is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 6.
