If you missed Concordia University Nebraska sports this week, here is what happened.

The Concordia shooting team finished their fall season with the Southeast Community College Bobcat Invitational on Oct. 26-27. The team placed second overall with a score of 1,390 targets. Senior Devin Harris took the skeet championship with a score of 99/100 targets and won the shoot-off to win the title. Senior Buchannan Tietjen was the highest Bulldog overall with a score of 279/300. He had a 98 in trap, 96 in skeet and 85 in sporting.

The Concordia women’s soccer team finished their regular season with a big 6-0 shutout against the Midland University Warriors on Oct. 30. Junior Kierstynn Garner hit four more goals in the second, seventh with an assist from junior Savannah Andrews, 35th with an assist from junior Sierra Springer and 66th minutes to add to her impressive tally. She now has 46 career goals and 19 on the season. Senior Mirarosa Gyllenswan scored a goal in the 54th minute and junior Niah Kirchner scored in the 57th minute with an assist from Gyllenswan.

Senior Angela Banks was the goalie for the game with three saves and no goals allowed. Freshman Aliya Vidro came in for the last 17 minutes to close out the game and recorded two saves. The team is now 11-5-1 overall and 8-3 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. This win ties the program win streak record of eight. Conference quarterfinals are up next against College of Saint Mary on Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in Seward. The team took second place in GPAC regular season and was given the No. 2 seed.

The Concordia men’s soccer team also finished their regular season against Midland with a 6-2 win against Midland. Seniors Martin Hererra and Ryan Wokutch hit the scoreboard first in the 14th and 27th minutes respectively. Senior D’Andre Williams’ goal took the lead for the Bulldogs in the 35th minute. Herrera would score again in the 51st minute alongside sophomore Ferdi Hagan in the 63rd minute and a last second goal from Oliver Benson.

Junior Nolan Fuelberth was the goalie for the game with six saves and two goals allowed. The team is now 7-2-8 overall and 6-0-4 GPAC. The Bulldogs will host Briar Cliff University on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. for conference quarterfinals. The team also took second place in the GPAC regular season and has the No. 2 seed.
