Home Sports Bulldog Baseball Blasts Royals 17-0

by Matthew Goedeken

Concordia’s baseball team won a single nine-inning game on Monday, April 25 against the Grace University Royals in Omaha. The Bulldogs’ pitching and defense held the Royals scoreless as Concordia won 17-0 by the run rule in seven innings.

Pitchers sophomore Taylor Bickel, junior Nic Seaman and sophomore Cade Morning allowed a combined total of two hits in the seven innings and racked up six strikeouts.

Sophomore Kaleb Geiger played well offensively and defensively, going 4 for 5 at the plate with one RBI and collecting ten putouts as well.

“Kaleb has been an excellent leader for us this season,” coach Ryan Dupic said. “He is a great young man who sets a good example through his work ethic and commitment to our team.”

Concordia, now 24-23 overall this season, hopes to finish the season strong with the GPAC tournament just around the corner. The Bulldogs will play again Thursday, April 28 in Hastings.
