Concordia women’s basketball dominates 111-43 on the road at Waldorf

The Concordia women’s basketball team posted a high-scoring road win, defeating Waldorf 111–43 on Saturday.
The Bulldogs set the tone early, scoring 39 points in the first quarter and preventing Waldorf from establishing any offensive rhythm.
Concordia’s defensive pressure fueled the opening surge, forcing turnovers and converting them into transition baskets. The Bulldogs carried a 59–21 lead into halftime.
Concordia’s depth was evident throughout the game, as all 15 players who saw action scored. The Bulldogs shot 51.2 percent from the field and connected on 11 three-pointers, while holding a 48–30 advantage on the boards.
Junior forward Juliana Jones led Concordia with 14 points on 5-7 shooting, including a perfect 2-2 from beyond the arc. Sophomore forward Abbie Kromarek added 13 points and six rebounds. Junior guard Sammy Leu finished with 11 points, three assists, and three steals.
Junior forward Kristin Vieselmeyer and freshman forward Makynna Robbins each scored 10 points, with Vieselmeyer also recording two blocks.
With the win, Concordia improved to 17–5 overall and 12–4 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. The Bulldogs will be back on the road for their matchup against rival Doane University on Feb. 4.
