The Concordia men’s basketball team fell short in overtime on the road, losing 96–89 to Waldorf on Saturday.

Concordia trailed 38–33 at halftime before outscoring Waldorf 48–43 in the second half to force overtime. The Bulldogs scored eight points in the extra period but were outscored 15–8 over the final five minutes.

The Bulldogs shot 45.8% from the field (27 of 59) and made 11-27 three-point attempts. Concordia went 24-33 from the free-throw line and finished with 29 rebounds and 16 assists.

Junior guard Brooks Kissinger led Concordia with 28 points, shooting 8-18 from the field and 10-17 at the free-throw line. Senior forward Logan Wilson and sophomore guard Dane Jacobsen each scored 18 points. Jacobsen added seven rebounds and five assists.

Junior guard Jaxon Stueve finished with 10 points on 4-5 shooting, while senior guard Zac Kulus added nine points, knocking down three three-pointers.

Off the bench, Jacob Duitsman scored three points, while Hayden Frank added two. Concordia committed 15 turnovers in the game.

While the Bulldogs allowed 96 points, this game marks the second-highest scoring point total Waldorf has scored this season in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.

With the loss, Concordia dropped to 15–8 overall and 9–6 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. They will hope to bounce back when they are back on the road against rival Doane University on Wednesday, Feb. 4.
