The Concordia women’s soccer team concluded its regular season with a 5-0 win over Mount Marty College in Seward on Saturday night.

The Bulldogs finished the regular season 12-5-1 overall and 6-4-1 in GPAC. With the win, Concordia earned a berth into the GPAC tournament, which will begin Thursday, Nov. 5.

Concordia had no problem taking down the Lancers. The Bulldogs allowed multiple players play, including all the seniors.

The Bulldogs waited until just over midway through the first half to score their first goal.

Sophomore Jessica Skerston started the scoring barrage off with a goal in the 30th minute.

It wasn’t until the second half when Concordia started to open up the game.

Sophomore Jeannelle Condame scored early in the second half to increase the lead to 2-0.

Shortly after gaining a 2-0 advantage, sophomore Esther Soenksen found the back of the net to push the lead to 3-0.

Four minutes after Soenksen’s goal, Skerston tallied her second goal of the game to give the Bulldogs a 4-0 lead.

The last goal for Concordia came from sophomore Karlee Romine who scored at the 87:05 mark.

Concordia outshot the Lancers 32-2 and put 17 shots on frame compared to Mount Marty’s one shot on goal for the night.

Concordia will prepare for the GPAC tournament as the quarterfinals begin on Nov. 5.
