Saturday, Jan. 21 was not the Bulldogs’ day inside Walz Arena as the Concordia men’s basketball team fell to Morningside College with the final score 85-65.

The shots were falling for Morningside, but not for the Bulldogs. Concordia shot seven for 29 from the 3-point line, while the Mustangs shot 13 for 19.

Morningside’s guard Matthew Hahn shot eight for 10 from inside the 3-point line. The Bulldogs were unable to stop the freshman from scoring 29 of the Mustangs’ 85 points.

Senior center Chandler Folkerts led the Bulldogs with 20 total points and seven rebounds. Senior guard Eli Ziegler was second on the team with 11 points.

Concordia’s team hoped make up for this loss when it played Hastings College on Wednesday, and won that game by a hair with a final score of 78-76.

The Concordia Invitational Tournament will begin on Friday. The Bulldog men will play Concordia University Chicago for their first game at 8 p.m.
