Concordia University’s 2026 spring formal drew a large crowd of energetic students who enjoyed the dancing, music and fellowship with others.
The event, hosted by the Student Activities Council, ran from 7 p.m. until roughly 11 p.m. at Seward’s Harvest Hall, and featured a DJ, charcuterie and dessert spread, mocktails and a photo booth.
Students across the board said that they enjoyed the music and dancing the most. They also liked the opportunity to hang out with friends in a fun environment.
The music was quite versatile, with most songs coming via student request. Selections varied from FE!N by Travis Scott to Cotton Eye Joe and Church Clap. Each song brought with it its own vibe and preferred style of dancing. Throughout the evening, there were line dances, slow dancing songs and mosh pits.
SAC President Matthew Koenig was pleased with the number of students who showed up and voiced their appreciation for the night’s event.
“I think it’s how many people have come up and said we’ve done such a good job this year,” Koenig said.
Koenig and his crew arrived at Harvest Hall before four that afternoon and finished just as the first attendees showed up. Koenig said multiple Walmart runs were needed that day to supply all the necessary materials.
