The Bulldogs took on the Hastings College Broncos on Wednesday night, taking a victory of 3-1.

While both teams put up great fights, there was no doubt about how synchronized the Bulldogs were with one another. The team brought the heat with kills led by senior middle Emmie Noyd, freshman outside hitter Camryn Opfer and sophomore right side Arleigh Costello. The Bulldogs also have each other’s backs defensively, which encourages crowd support.

“Just the energy during the games is great,” sophomore Maggie Cleveland said. “The team looks like they work well together and that makes it more fun to watch.”

Working well together is something that these Bulldogs strive to do.

“Our saying is ‘This Is Us’ and so we’ve really been building these bonds as a family and we just really trust each other,” junior setter Tara Callahan said.

Bulldog fans can expect the team to continue their undefeated streak through the Great Plains Athletic Conference.

“We have a deep belief that we are going to win the GPAC this year no matter what,” Callahan said. “That’s our number one goal.”

The volleyball team will have three away games Sept. 6 and 7, and students can continue to support the volleyball team Sept. 14 as they battle Midland University.
