The men’s soccer team started their season strong with two wins under their belt, and the reserve team is also starting their season strong with a win from their Wednesday  game Concordia Reserves vs. York Reserves (3-1).

Concordia quickly took the lead over York and ended the first half 2-1.  They then increased their lead to 3-1 in the second half.

“I think we came out and scored really early… Maybe caught them a little bit sleeping, and our guys were ready to play,” Head Men’s Soccer Coach Jason Weides said.

Weides also noted that they have a tough upcoming game against Mid America Nazarene University this Saturday. The team, however, feels confident that the season will continue to go well.

“It’s a good start, I’m really liking it,” sophomore Midfielder Caleb Goldsmith said. “I think our team is coming together very well.”
